Busy week in Turku (Finland) for the International Conference on Arabidopsis Research. Alexis co-organised with Yvonne Stahl a workshop on functional imaging in plants with great talks from Joop Vermeer (Zürich), Guido Grossmann (Heidelberg), Benedicte Desvoye (Madrid) and Léa Rambaud-Lavigne (Lyon).

Amaya’s work on cytsokeleton dynamics during lateral root initiation was awarded the second poster prize! Congratulations!

Andrea successfully obtained his PhD for his work “The Arabidopsis tasiARFs pathway: unraveling its role in root and embryo development”. True to his reputation, he celebrated the event adequately 🙂

Alexis will be giving a talk on  cell division patterns in plant morphogenesis  during the Tissue Self-Organisation meeting organised by Darren Gilmour, Takashi Hiiragi, Celeste M. Nelson & Orion Weiner at EMBL.

 

 

Marion Louveaux is representing the lab in Szeged during the 2nd NEUBIAS Conference (27 Jan – 02 Feb 2018).  She will present her pipeline to extract & analyse cell geometries.

The lab traveled “en force” to Montpellier last week to attend the always exciting lateral root workshop. Amaya, Béatrice, Marion, Michael & Alexis joined ~60 other lateral root fanatics to discuss their latest results. In addition to great science and discussion, the weather and food were as one can expect from Montpellier: brilliant!  

We are very happy to welcome Jazmin Reyes-Hernandez. Jazmin comes from Mexico and did her PhD with Joseph Dubrovsky. 

Zhaoxue Ma will be representing the lab in Oeiras (Portugal) at the 2017 IGC Symposium on Plant RNA Biology . In her talk she will present her results on AGO7.
