Alexis Maizel (PI)

Alexis obtained his PhD in 2002 from the René Descartes University and Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris (France). After a post-doc in San Diego (Salk Institute, USA) and in Tübingen (Max Planck Institute for developmental Biology, Germany). He was appointed in 2006 as CNRS staff scientist at the Plant Science Institute on the CNRS Campus of Gif-sur-Yvette. Since 2010 he is a group leader in the department of stem cell biology at the University of Heidelberg.

Andreas Bernreiter (Post-doc)

Andreas has obtained his PhD in Vienna for his research on Aspergillus. He then moved to Lancaster (UK) to study lateral root formation in Arabidopsis.

Virginie Jouannet (PhD student)

Virginie did her undergraduate studies at the Jussieu university in Paris (France) and joined the lab in 2008. She is part of the Plant Science Graduate School of Orsay University (France). Her main interest is where and how ta-siRNAs are formed and act in the cell.

Mouli GHOSH DASTIDAR (PhD student)

Mouli did her undergraduate at Dehli University (India) and joined the lab in 2010. She is part of the HBIGS International PhD Program in Molecular and Cellular Biology Heidelberg.

Ana-Beatriz Moreno (Post-doc)

Ana-Beatriz obtained her PhD in Barcelona (Spain). She joined the lab in 2009 when the group was still in France but decided that Heidelberg was definitively too cold for her. She is located at the Plant Science Institute on the CNRS Campus of Gif-sur-Yvette. She studies the relationships between RNA turn-over and silencing machineries.
